Dropkick Murphys establish new NPO

Ken Casey, the fearless leader of Dropkick Murphys has established a new Non Profit Organization called Claddagh Fund. The charity "champions the causes of children, veterans and those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction."

Saturday, Casey kicks off the new fundraiser with the Claddagh Fund Skate at Fenway Park, followed by a reception @ the House of Blues.

Claddagh Fund Skate in the Park not only provides the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to skate the NHL ice at Fenway Park but also promises to bring together friends of the Dropkick Murphys that include athletes from Boston's major sports teams, celebrity guests, families and fans to celebrate the bands' new charitable organization. Celebrity guests and professional athletes scheduled to attend include Bruins Legends: Derek Sanderson, Terry O'Reilly, Jay Miller and Lyndon Byers; Stanley Cup champion, Scott Young; actor, Kevin Chapman; NESN personalities, Heidi Watney and Charlie Moore; boxing legend, Micky Ward and UFC star, Kenny Florian among many others.

Tickets are sold out for the event, but for more info on the fund, check out Claddaghfund.org
