Nada Surf covers album coming in March

Nada Surf is set to return in March with new covers album, if I had a hi-fi.

The new 12 song album will only be sold at the band's shows (at least initially). Currently there is no word on when the album will hit stores/online.

Nada Surf will cover Kate Bush, Dwight Twilley, the Go-Betweens, Mecromina, Bill Fox, Moody Blues, The Soft Pack, Depeche Mode and Arthur Russell to name a few.

Then on March 25, the band will play 3 nights in NYC, performing 3 separate albums (in what's becoming a trend apparently) along with songs from if I had a hi-fi, some fan faves & b-sides.

Pre-sale tickets go up at 10 a.m. local time tomorrow.

our first newsletter of 2010 and some twitter vibes:
  • Deep Elm has another dozen new releases lined up for 2010. To start, they have It's Our Hearts They're After by Cari Clara
  • Blacklisted has a new US tour lined up
  • Interesting link posted by Oniric Records about a Finnish label who won't sign any new bands until record piracy ends
  • Alkaline Trio's new single "This Addiction" is up for streaming with a second hand post via twitter or facebook. ~ I'm not that impressed. Seems to be lacking some of the energy from their more recent albums.
  • Artwork for Eddy Current Suppression Ring's new album Rush to Relax
