Pennywise minus Jim equals Zoli

Well that didn't take too long, and although I had my doubts, I think the general concensus was that Zoli Teglas was to be the new permanent singer for Pennywise.

Yesterday that decision became final, as the band officially announced the former vocalist of Ignite would be their new frontman. The decision came after the sudden departure by long-time frontman (19 years) Jim Lindberg last summer, prompting the band to enlist Teglas as their voice for a handful of shows last fall.

a little verbage from the band:

Bassist Randy Bradbury explains, “What started out as a temporary position was just too good to put an end to. Zoli brings to the table a tremendous vocal ability, creativity, and a die hard work ethic. There is a bond that makes this change feel like it was simply meant to be, and considering the recent unfortunate events, having Zoli join the band is a well needed shot of positive energy.”

Teglas was excited to take the stage with his friends, noting, "I'm stoked to be singing with Pennywise. I'm a huge fan of the band and am super grateful to share the stage with my long time friends Fletcher, Byron and Randy."

The good news for fans that haven't heard the difference yet, is the wait won't be long. Along with a set of tour dates, Pennywise is in studio working on a new album set for sometime this year.
