Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band have new Wages

On May 25, Reverend Peytons Big Damn Band will return with their new album The Wages (Side One Dummy). The album marks the trio's second for SOD and was produced by Paul Mahern (Zero Boys, John Mellencamp).

If you aren't familiar with Rev. Peyton, take a look around. Led by Reverend Peyton on finger-style resonator guitar & lead vox, his wife, Washboard Breezy Peyton plays washboard and vox and distant cousin Aaron Cuz Persinger plays the drums & bucket. The Wages was recorded live in the studio with no overdubs on analog tape by the swinging country-blues trio.

"I grew up in the country, and rural life and rural culture has shaped me and my music," says Reverend Peyton, who really is a Kentucky Colonel, just like Elvis Presley, Roy Rogers and Tiger Woods. "I have been playing music since I was a little kid. I am pretty sure we are on to something now."
