Sevendust cracks the code on album eight

April 20, Sevendust fans can rejoice with a new album. Not only is it the band's 8th studio album, Cold Day Memory (7Bros Records/ILG), but it's the first new album with their original lineup since 2003.

Guitar player Clint Lowery has returned to the band after a 7 year hiatus, bringing the band full circle to their glory days early in the 2000s.

"This record personally has been one of the most difficult, but most rewarding records I've ever worked on" explains Lowery. "I put a lot of pressure on myself to contribute good material to the guys after being gone for last three records and that helped me focus more than I ever had." Adds Lajon Witherspoon: "I feel this album shows new growth for the band. We're very happy to have Clint back and are looking forward for everyone hearing the magic that's made when we're all together!"

As is customary with rock radio, a new single must hit aor stations about two months prior to the album's release, which is exactly what Sevendust did with "Unraveling" which is getting great reaction from fans. The single is already on MySpace (in case you're like me and don't listen to the radio) and will go on iTunes on March 2.
