the band features Mario Rubalcaba (ex-Rocket From the Crypt, Hot Snakes, Blackheart Procession and Clickatat Ikatowi) on drums, Isaiah Mitchell (Nebula, Drunk Horse) on guitar and Mike Eginton (Electric Nazarene) on bass.
Their latest release is a live CD that came out in 2008 on Tee Pee Records, titled Live @ Roadburn. The story of the show itself is somewhat infamous.
Earthless was at the Roadburn Festival in Tiburg, Holland in April 2008, when they unexpectedly found themselves on stage in the headlining slot in front of 2,000 people (significantly more than they were supposed to play for @ The Batcave about the same time - 200).
When the headlining band didn't use up their full 2 hour time slot, enter Earthless, what came next is something told in Rock fairy tales, as the band whooped up 4 songs over the span of an hour and a half which make up the 2 disc set. The legendary set is now immortalized in print and on record and hopefully soon in my CD player.
Well, Earthless is back. They've lined up a short set of European dates with Russian Circles, and I imagine after their success two years ago, the April 15 date @ Roadburn should be one to see.
