Indian Jewelry album due May 11

Hailing from Houston, comes Indian Jewelry. So what if they aren't a new band, if you haven't heard of them and I haven't heard of them, then this post should help clear some things up.

On May 11, Indian Jewelry will release their third album on We Are Free/Monitor Records (fourth overall). The new album is Totaled. IJ uses plenty of unique instrumentation including cracked cymbals, feedback and burning amps and swarms plenty of fx into their music.

Erika Thrasher and Tex Kerschen (the two brains behind Indian Jewelry) have some interesting side-habits including: playing in a Prince cover band (Diamonds+Pearls), curating the Pursuasion exhibition series and running the Swampbats interview site.

Here's a short run of dates down south for the band prior to the album's release.
