Meet Richard Walters and listen to his "Brittle Bones"

You like the new artist info as much as I do? If so, I give you Richard Walters.

No, this isn't my former supervisor, Walters is a UK singer/songwriter who's releasing his debut album, The Animal on July 6 (Kartel). He's got loads of hype from the UK press (but really, who doesn't?) with comps to Jeff Buckley & Antony & the Johnsons.

While this is his first US release, he does have some prior US exposure, as Jakob Karr (runner up on Season 6 of So You Think You Can Dance) chose "Elephant in the Room for his auditions - which started a whole YouTube viral thing. Plus, "All at Sea" was recently featured on CSI: Miami.

He's since been signed to Chrysalis Music, so more is expected soon.

Walters currently has dates in DC, NY & LA in mid-July with bandmates Rob Stevenson (keyboards) and Izzi Dunn (cello player for Kanye West, Gorillaz).

and since you're here anyway, why don't you download a free song, it's "Brittle Bones"

don't don't don't you forget about me -
