New band alert - Lower Dens

While Baltimore's Lower Dens isn't entirely new (formed in 2009), they haven't exactly been on the radar for many music fans.

Led by Jana Hunter, there's word that Lower Dens may fall under "new wave, drone pop or post-punk" which certainly leaves plenty of room for interpretation.

Their debut album, Twin-Hand Movement is due July 20 (Gnomonsong) and the band just opened up a tour with Future Islands on Thursday.
