ESPN giving you a chance to get your MOJO on with Tom Petty

The Giving Tree Band (refresh your memory here) will release a new album, The Joke, The Threat and The Obvious on Sept. 21 (Crooked Creek).

The band is giving away free listens to the first single, "Circles" if you sign up for the newsletter. You'll get it via a streaming player along with 4 other tracks from the album.

  • You already know Tom Petty's new album comes out next week. And bothering to check all the usual hot spots for streaming MOJO prior to the release may come as a waste of time, as ESPN somehow got their hands on it.
  • Rooney is going to be the featured band on the new Hills episode slated for tonight and here's a link to the new video for "I Can't Get Enough"
  • Hanson is performing on Lopez tonight & The Today Show Monday June 14
  • Hallogallo (featuring Michael Rother and featuring Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth, Aaron Mullan of Tall Firs and Ben Curtis of Secret Machines, School of Seven Bells), Shellac, Fursaxa, Sian Alice Group and Text of Light (featuring Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth) have been added to ATP NYC
